Navasota, Texas
Clothing-optional men's resort and campground with cabins, treehouses and a pool, an hour from Houston
Grizzly Pines is a clothing-optional resort and campground for men 21 and over on what its FAQ calls 65 wooded acres outside Navasota, about an hour northwest of Houston. Its site describes it as a community for men and, in its own phrase, for the modern man. All areas inside the gate are clothing optional, with two house rules: a towel under you on benches and tables, and at least underwear at food gatherings. A day pass is $20 and covers the pool, hot tub, clubhouse and amenities, with a wristband and gate check-in and nobody admitted after 10 PM without approval. You can sleep in a cabin, a glamping tent or a treehouse, bring an RV or a tent, rent a tent, or take a permanent full-hookup RV site. Cabin, RV and treehouse rates load from the Campspot booking system; a posted camping promo listed water-and-electric tent sites at $35 a night, primitive sites at $20 and tent rentals at $35, each for two guests with a $20 charge per extra guest and a nightly amenity fee on top. The clubhouse is a year-round indoor gathering space with a fire and games, next to the pool and hot tub, a clothing-optional sun deck, Trace's Kitchen cafe, a camp store with firewood, a pavilion and sports courts. Wi-Fi is limited to the area around the clubhouse, and the camp runs its own Grizzly Pines Radio. Bear rallies and themed weekends make up the calendar. Pets are permitted on a leash with rabies paperwork.
