Toledo's own outpost of the beloved LGBTQ+ bar and grille franchise, Hamburger Mary's brought gourmet burgers, signature cocktails, and top-tier drag entertainment to downtown Ohio — and quickly became one of the city's most celebrated queer-friendly destinations. Located on North Huron Street, it was the first Hamburger Mary's in Ohio and earned Best Drag Show honors from Toledo City Paper five years running. The main dining room served up Mary's classic comfort food lineup — juicy specialty burgers with cheeky names, loaded appetizers, and a full bar of creative cocktails — while the entertainment calendar ran five nights a week with drag shows, Name That Tune, trivia, and charity bingo. For the 18+ crowd, the upstairs Hideout offered a separate NYC-style queer nightclub experience with karaoke, themed parties, and late-night drag shows. Equal parts restaurant, bar, and community gathering place, Hamburger Mary's Toledo gave the Midwest something it didn't know it needed. Eat, drink, and be Mary.
