Flint, Michigan
A gay-friendly bar and grill on Layton Boulevard overlooking Kearsley Reservoir, opened by Robert Roland — a Black gay Flint native who spent 17 years at General Motors before launching the venue. The layout splits into a bar side for conversation and a club side for dancing. The kitchen serves catfish, wings, and fries, and the space is available for private events. Programming rotates nightly: Taco & Tequila Tuesday, open mic Wednesday, drag shows, mini-balls, and Old School Sunday. Rob's filled the gap left when The Triangle — Flint's previous gay bar — closed, and it's one of the few LGBTQ+ spaces in the area. The motto is straightforward: "Have a drink and make a friend."
