No-cover neighborhood gay bar in Carondelet with darts, a dart league, and a fire pit patio
Hummel's Pub is a neighborhood gay dive on South Broadway in Carondelet — the kind of unpretentious, blue-collar room where cold, cheap beer is the point and everybody seems to know everybody. Rainbow flags and Pride signage mark it as queer-friendly without making a production of it. A competitive dart league plays on-site, and the back holds one of the better patios in South St. Louis: a substantial, dog-friendly beer garden with fire pits. The crowd runs regulars-heavy and local, a quieter alternative to the busier bars elsewhere in town — worth the trip south if you want a real neighborhood bar rather than a scene.
