Cozy Zona Rosa bar with a patio and Latin music on Estrasburgo
Tucked on the Estrasburgo strip just off the Amberes circus, this is the small, cozy room people retreat to when the big clubs feel too much. Inside: five tables, two side bars, cork boards covered in community photos and rainbow flags, and a sidewalk patio where the smokers congregate. The space fills with maybe fourteen people, so weekends get tight fast. Music swings between salsa, reggaeton, banda and a little electronic — it's small enough that requests get played. Liter beers run around 60 pesos, liter cocktails (piña, mojito) for not much more. Tuesday nights at 8:30 the venue runs Martes de Taller, a free LGBTTTI cultural night with book talks, theater and poetry hosted by Alonso Hernández. Tuesday through Sunday, 4pm to 2am.
