Mexico City, State of Mexico
Half psychedelic marisquería, half cultural living room — and somewhere along the way, one of the most reliably queer hangs in Doctores. Run by the singer Ali Gua Gua and a women-led cooperative called Viva la Doctores, the kitchen leans Veracruz (the cevichela is the move) and the bar pours micheladas, mezcal, and cocktails until 2am most weekends. The programming is what makes it stick: live music, DJs spinning between sets, drag and performance art, jarocha jams, queer art shows. The crowd is mixed — locals, scene people, regulars from the cooperative's orbit — and the vibe stays loose and conversational early, then tips into dancing later. It's the rare CDMX bar where you can show up at 4pm for ceviche and end the night sweating in the same room.
