Best New Bar 2024 — disco interior and a big Astroturf patio.
Let's Be Honest opened on the Main Avenue strip in late 2023 and was named Best New Bar 2024 by the San Antonio Current within months. It took over a plain office shell at 1602 N Main and turned it into a disco-leaning room with a signature red neon angel-wings sign and a big Astroturf patio loaded with bar games and flat-screen TVs. Drag runs the calendar. Best-of-San-Antonio winner Kristi Waters heads the program, with regular evening shows, weekend drag brunches, and the drag-king troupe SA Papis bringing their "Just the Tip" party, a king-forward lineup that's still rare on the strip. Add sports screenings and local vendor pop-ups and it plays younger and more eclectic than its older neighbors like Zebraz. A good casual first or second stop on a night out on Main.
