Drag dinner theater on El Cajon Boulevard in North Park.
Lips is San Diego's drag dinner-theater institution, on El Cajon Boulevard just east of Hillcrest, and it passed its 25th anniversary in 2025. The format is the draw: the queens both perform the stage show and work the room as your servers, so the sass doesn't stop between numbers. Dinner is a sit-down meal built around the show. Each night has its own theme — 'Ladies of the 80s' on Tuesdays, 'Bitchy Bingo' on Wednesdays, 'Dining with the Divas' on Thursdays — building to the big glamour shows on Friday and Saturday, with a Dragalicious Gospel Brunch on Sundays. Most evening shows are 21+, and the place is geared to celebrations: birthdays, bachelorette parties, and anyone who wants dinner with a side of full-tilt drag rather than a quiet meal.
