Loud neon gay dance bar at Zona Rosa's Amberes–Estrasburgo corner
Macho Dance Bar VIP sits on the corner of Amberes and Estrasburgo, the busiest LGBT intersection in Mexico City and the spine of Zona Rosa's Pink Zone. The corner has carried a gay bar under a few different names over the years; the current Macho VIP branding fills that spot. Despite the name, it's not a cowboy or leather concept — it's a loud, neon dance-bar room with DJs, go-go dancers, and doors that open in the early afternoon and stay open into the small hours. The crowd runs mixed-age and heavily local, gay-men-dominant, and the room works as a quick stop between the bigger venues on the strip rather than a place to park for the whole night. Music sits on circuit, reggaeton, and pop hits, and the floor is tight — expect noise, energy, and not much elbow room on a good night.
