Mistr Bear is a gay-owned fashion and fetish shop in Le Village, open since May 2018 and run by founders Chris Boudreau and Jonathan Grandolfo. It manufactures roughly 90% of its inventory in an attached sewing workshop — neoprene fetish gear, pet-play hoods (they created the original K9 hood), and a fashion line running XS through 4XL — and stocks Oxballs and Polymorphe Latex as an official retailer. The brand started after its founders couldn't find gear that held up in tropical heat, and body positivity runs through both the sizing and the mission; a dedicated Pride Collection covers Gay, Trans, Bi, Pan, Puppy, and Bear colorways. It's a bear-community anchor on Sainte-Catherine Est, but the range and the size run appeal well beyond bears. For a visitor, it's the rare fetish shop where most of what's on the rack was made in the room next door.
