Sunny Dunes custom leather shop — made-to-measure since 1996
Custom leather shop in Palm Springs' Sunny Dunes gayborhood, run by tailor Paul Johnson since 1996. Off Ramp specializes in made-to-measure men's leather — chaps, bar vests, pants, belts — all cut from top-grain hides and fitted in-person. They also handle repairs, alterations, and consignment. Johnson honed his craft over decades in San Francisco, including work with Mr. S Leather, before relocating the shop here. The shop sits in a small complex alongside Gear Leather & Fetish and around the corner from Tool Shed, the neighborhood's long-running leather cruise bar. If you're visiting for Leather Pride in October or just need a proper fitting, call ahead — custom orders run about 12 weeks, but walk-ins are welcome Tuesday through Saturday.
