AHF thrift store with free walk-in HIV testing in Mills 50.
Out of the Closet Orlando is one of roughly two dozen thrift stores run by AIDS Healthcare Foundation, the largest global HIV/AIDS nonprofit. It sits on Mills Avenue in the Mills 50 district, and the racks are organized by color, with a rotating color-tag markdown system that drops select tags to a dollar. Beyond clothing you'll find furniture, housewares, vintage apparel, and LGBTQ+ merchandise. What sets it apart from an ordinary thrift store is the mission attached to it: free walk-in rapid HIV testing is offered on-site in a private area staffed by trained clinicians, and the shop advertises that 96 cents of every dollar spent goes to AHF's HIV prevention and treatment programs. Donations are accepted by drive-up drop-off or scheduled pickup. It's a practical, community-minded stop that doubles as a way to put a thrift-shop budget toward something larger.
