St. Louis, Missouri
The Grove's 66-seat Jade Room cabaret with drag shows nightly and Sunday drag brunch
A cabaret lounge in The Grove, St. Louis's LGBTQ+ district, built around the 66-seat Jade Room — a dedicated performance space with stage lighting inherited from the venue's predecessor, The Monocle. Prism runs drag shows nearly every night of the week, each with its own host and format. The Sunday drag brunch, Pink Eggs and Glam, draws the biggest crowds. Co-owned by Jade Sinclair, a drag performer with 25 years on St. Louis stages, the bar was opened in 2022 to fill the gap left by shuttered community spaces like Attitudes and JJ's Clubhouse. The Thursday Rising Stars show gives new performers their first stage. A 2,000-square-foot patio and signature cocktails named after staff round out the experience.
