Part of the Gay New Orleans Guide — bars, events & things to do.

New Orleans, Louisiana
Cozy Uptown gay bar in the Irish Channel, away from the Quarter.
The self-described "coziest little gay bar in Uptown New Orleans" sits on Foucher Street in the Irish Channel, filling a real gap as the only gay bar outside the French Quarter and Marigny corridor. Inside, a marble bar anchors a small, divey room. Out back, a fenced yard hosts food pop-ups, art markets, and resident bunnies and cats. Regular programming includes RuPaul's Drag Race watch parties on Thursdays, drag shows, movie screenings, and a monthly trivia night. Happy hour runs 4 to 8 PM weekdays with $5 double wells. Opened around 2019 in a space that previously operated as the Aline Street Beer Garden, QiQi is LGBTQ+-owned and run with an intentionally irreverent streak — the sarcastic bartenders are a feature, not a bug.
