Sacramento, California
Queer restaurant and cocktail bar named for author Radclyffe Hall.
Radclyffe's is a queer restaurant and cocktail bar in downtown Sacramento, opened in early 2025 by Caroline Sailor in the former Bear Dive space on H Street. It's named for Radclyffe Hall, author of the 1928 lesbian novel 'The Well of Loneliness,' and carries a green carnation in its logo, a quiet nod to queer literary history that tells you the place was built with intention rather than as a theme. The venue runs on a dual identity: an all-ages, neighborhood-friendly restaurant by day, where the kitchen turns out dishes like quesabirria tacos, and a 21+ queer lounge by night, with a rotating calendar carrying the community programming, Dyke Night and similar gatherings rather than nightly DJs. It's one of Sacramento's newer queer spaces and the most explicitly community-first, a good pick if you'd rather have a real conversation over a cocktail than shout over a dance floor.
