Sacramento, California
Sacramento's LGBTQ+ community center and nonprofit.
Sacramento's oldest LGBTQ+ nonprofit, operating since 1978 — originally as the Lambda Community Fund, now out of its permanent home in the Lavender Heights neighborhood on 20th Street. The center runs the Q-Spot Youth Center, mental health and sexual health services, PrEP navigation, HIV and Hep C testing, housing assistance, peer support groups, and legal advocacy under one roof. A second location, the Marsha P. Johnson Center South, opened in South Sacramento in 2021. Beyond services, the center hosts Q-Prom, drag brunch galas, community healing circles, and space rentals for local groups. If you're visiting Sacramento and want to understand the local queer community, this is where much of the organizing and connection actually happens.
