Sapphic lounge and restaurant in the old Stonewall building
Sapphire Lounge is a sapphic lounge and restaurant on West Church Street in Orlando, in the two-story building that was Heatwave and, before that, Stonewall Bar Orlando. Jay Ruiz and Mel Vitale opened it in September 2026 with a Sept. 4 grand opening, and Watermark described it as Orlando's first and only sapphic lounge and restaurant. There's an outdoor patio, and Orlando Weekly reported a food menu running into the late-night hours alongside a full cocktail program. The owners have described it as a safe space for the lesbian community and a community space rather than a club, open to everyone in the LGBTQ+ community. Ruiz has talked about hosting community events, artists and entertainers, and a drag brunch ran there in October, so check its Instagram for what's on.
