Lesbian- and queer-owned wine bar and bottle shop in NoPa.
NOPA's women- and queer-owned wine bar and bottle shop, opened in 2023 by married co-owners Kate Maeder and Kaela Miller. Miller built the list from years in San Francisco wine rooms — wine director at Anomaly, sommelier at Verjus and The Battery — and stocks it so that most of the bottles are made or owned by women. It's a compact space — a small tasting bar to settle in with a glass, and a shop section where you can take those same bottles home. It's one of the few spots in the country recognized by the Lesbian Bar Project, and it wears that lightly — a low-key neighborhood hang, as good for a Tuesday glass of orange wine as a Sunday afternoon catch-up, with none of the wine-world pretension.
