Part of the Gay Saugatuck Guide — bars, events & things to do.
Saugatuck, Michigan
Wife-and-wife-run LGBTQ+ B&B in historic downtown Saugatuck.
A warmly personal, LGBTQ+-friendly B&B founded in 2008 by wife-and-wife team June Spriggs and David Langley, who brought over 25 years of working together in Ann Arbor to this historic downtown Saugatuck home. The name says it all — "the faculty of happening upon fortunate discoveries when not in search of them" — and that spirit of happy surprises runs through every detail. Choose from two flower-themed B&B rooms upstairs (Lily, with a private ensuite bath in shades of tan and gold; and Iris, a spacious corner room in blues and greens with a private jetted tub), or the Lightkeeper's Cottage — a self-contained, secluded one-room hideaway tucked in the garden with a sitting area, fireplace, kitchenette, private bath, queen loft bed beneath a large stained glass window, and a private deck with hot tub surrounded by a privacy fence.
