Barcelona, Barcelona
Rooftop bar and pool at the Axel Hotel with panoramic views and drag shows on weekends
Skybar sits on the seventh floor of the Axel Hotel on Carrer d'Aribau in L'Eixample — the flagship property of the best-known gay hotel brand in Barcelona. The rooftop is open to the public (not just hotel guests) and features panoramic city views, a seasonal unheated pool (summer only, 10am–8pm), a jacuzzi, loungers, and a bar with a signature pop-art surface made from hundreds of backlit condoms. DJ sets and drag shows run Friday and Saturday nights. Winter hours are 7pm to 2:30am; summer extends from noon to 3am. The crowd is international and tourist-heavy, a mix of gay men and allies. No cover charge.
