Columbus, Ohio
Central Ohio's LGBTQ+ community center and Columbus Pride organizer.
Stonewall Columbus is Central Ohio's largest LGBTQ+ organization, founded in 1981 (originally as Stonewall Union) and now based in a 15,000-square-foot community center on North High Street in the Short North, a $3.8 million building that opened in 2019. Programming runs year-round: peer support groups, HIV testing, family services, classes, and a literary series, funded largely through the organization's signature event. That event is Columbus Pride, one of the Midwest's biggest, which draws more than 700,000 people to the Short North each June. In 2026 the organization marks its 45th anniversary with an Ohio historical marker. Whether you're a resident looking for support or a visitor timing a trip to Pride, the center is the hub the rest of Columbus's queer calendar revolves around.
