The Center — formally Pride Center San Antonio — is the city's volunteer-driven LGBTQ+ resource hub, serving the queer and HIV communities of Bexar County and the surrounding area. Free, individualized case management helps people navigate social services and reach counseling, free therapy, and tele-therapy for individuals, couples, and families. A roster of peer-support groups runs both in person and online: Q-Connection for adults across the full LGBTQ+ spectrum, the youth-only Bright Futures of Pride chat for ages 12 to 17, plus circles like Trans Allies, Women in Transition, and Black Queer & Here. Founded out of a 2009 community effort and incorporated as a nonprofit in 2012, the Center fills a real gap in a city where dedicated LGBTQ+ infrastructure is still being built. It is relocating in 2026 after eight years downtown, so confirm the current location before visiting — but the online support groups, youth programming, and the annual Youth Empowerment with Pride camp continue throughout the move.
