Part of the Gay Los Angeles Guide — bars, events & things to do.
Los Angeles, California
North Long Beach neighborhood gay bar with a patio and nightly events.
A gay neighborhood bar on Cherry Avenue in North Long Beach, open since 1995 and owned by Michael Romero. The indoor space has pool tables, darts, and a long bar; the outdoor patio features a rock waterfall and seats around 50. Weekly programming runs deep — Trivia Thursday, Free Pool Wednesday, Leather Fridays, karaoke, drag shows, Loteria Night, RuPaul’s Drag Race watch parties, and Sunday Beer Bust with BBQ on the patio. The crowd skews mature and local, with affordable drinks and happy hour daily from 2 to 8 PM. It survived a COVID-era debt crisis through community fundraising and remains a gathering point for North Long Beach’s gay community. Open weekdays from 2 PM, weekends from noon.
