A three-level gay dance club on Pacific Coast Highway, WERK occupies the space that ran for decades as Executive Suite, one of Long Beach's longest-lived queer venues, rebranded under new operators but holding the same address and the same role in the scene. (Plenty of listings still carry the old Executive Suite name; the live brand is WERK.) The main floor is the dance room, the middle floor adds a karaoke lounge and pool, and the calendar leans on drag and go-go dancers Wednesday through Sunday. The crowd is a genuinely mixed, diverse LGBTQ+ mix of Long Beach locals, busiest at the weekend. If you're in the South Bay or Orange County and want a full-scale gay club without the drive into West Hollywood, this is the closest thing, a multi-floor night out rather than a single-room bar.
