Provincetown, Massachusetts
Casual cocktail lounge and Thai kitchen on the West End strip.
The Monkey Bar shares an address with Johnny Thai at 149 Commercial Street, a hybrid cocktail bar and Asian restaurant owned by Johnny Pak right on Provincetown's main strip. The look is lounge, not nightclub: cozy couches, low lighting, and a large outdoor patio rather than a dance floor, with a kitchen running Thai, sushi, and small plates alongside the drinks. It operates seasonally, roughly Memorial Day through October, and stays open late into the night in season. The bar is a regular fixture of Bear Week. It's an easy mid-strip stop, a place to sit, eat, and drink at a slower pace between the louder rooms up and down Commercial Street.
