Part of the Gay New Orleans Guide — bars, events & things to do.

New Orleans, Louisiana
Black-owned Rampart Street dive spinning bounce, R&B, and hip-hop.
The Page is a Black-owned gay dive on North Rampart Street, at the edge of the French Quarter and a world away from the tourist bars a few blocks over. It's small and unpretentious, leaning into an '80s and '90s aesthetic with a soundtrack of bounce, R&B, and hip-hop. Male dancers perform on the bar most nights, and Friday's New Meat Night puts new talent up to compete for a cash jackpot. The room runs 21+ and stays open late, usually until 3 AM, with a daily happy hour that's among the cheapest on the Rampart strip. Where the nearby bars chase tourist dollars, The Page holds its ground as a dedicated neighborhood spot for the city's Black queer community. For a traveler, it's the real-deal local option on this stretch, best later in the night when the crowd fills in.
