Nashville, Tennessee
Wedgewood-Houston gay bar with a big patio and drag nights.
Trax has been a Nashville gay bar since 2005, though it's on its second life: after losing its longtime Ensley Boulevard lease, it reopened in Wedgewood-Houston for Pride 2025, in the Six10 Merritt building next to Diskin Cider. Owner Kiss set out to run a neighborhood bar, with darts, pool, and room to actually sit and talk, as a deliberate counter to the city's drag-and-dance clubs. That makes it the low-key end of Nashville's scene: drag nights and DJs still happen, and the patio is one of the larger ones in the neighborhood, but the everyday mode is a come-as-you-are local bar rather than a night out you have to plan around. Worth the trip across town from Church Street if you'd rather a beer and a pool table than a 1 a.m. show.
