Part of the Gay Saugatuck Guide — bars, events & things to do.

Saugatuck, Michigan
Saugatuck's beloved Christmas shop and cupcake stop on Butler Street.
Yes, it's a year-round Christmas shop, and yes, you absolutely need to go in. Tuck's has been a Butler Street institution for over 30 years, and stepping inside in the middle of July feels like the most delightful time warp. The shelves are packed with ornaments from Old World Christmas, Christopher Radko, and Kurt S. Adler, plus nutcrackers, candles, festive home décor, and a curated selection of Pandora jewelry. But here's the sleeper hit: the homemade cupcakes displayed in individual clear boxes near the entrance. Locals will tell you they rival anything in town — the raspberry chocolate stuffed with raspberry cream cheese, the almond joy, the pretzel variety — all gorgeous, all worth the $4. If you're the type who collects a Christmas ornament from every town you visit, this is your promised land.
