Las Vegas Pride is famous for one thing: a Night Parade that rolls through downtown Fremont in October under neon lights. Spectacular — but also hot, late, and a little overwhelming for first-time visitors, families, or anyone who'd rather celebrate Pride in daylight with a beer, a food truck, and a folding chair on the grass.

That's where Henderson Pride comes in. About 20 minutes southeast of the Strip, the city of Henderson hosts a smaller, daytime, family-friendly Pride that's free, walkable, and specifically built around community rather than circuit-party energy. It's the counterweight to October's Night Parade — and for a lot of locals, it's the Pride they actually plan around.

Here's everything you need to know to build a trip around Henderson Pride 2026, including an important heads-up: there are now two separate Henderson Pride events on the 2026 calendar.

Henderson Pride 2026 at a Glance

  • Main community Pride — Southern Nevada Pride Fest of Henderson, Saturday, June 13, 2026, 3 PM–10 PM, Sunset Park (Eastern Entrance, 2601 E Sunset Rd, Las Vegas). Free, all-ages. Organized by the Henderson Equality Center.
  • Second event using the "Henderson Pride" name — Henderson Pride Festival at Water Street Plaza, Saturday, May 2, 2026, 11 AM–6 PM. Free. Organized by the International Cultural Movement for Equality. Details at hendersonpride.org.
  • Vibe — daytime, kid-friendly, vendor-heavy, live music, local community orgs. A counterweight to October's big nighttime Las Vegas Pride.
  • Where to stay — Center Strip hotels (15-20 min drive to both event sites) if you want to pair with gay nightlife; Lake Las Vegas for a resort-side May-event-only stay.

Pro Tip

Henderson Pride and Las Vegas Pride are **two completely different weekends**. Henderson Pride is in spring/early summer (May and June in 2026), Las Vegas Pride is the second weekend of October. If you want both, plan two trips.

Two Henderson Prides in 2026: What's Going On

If you search "Henderson Pride" right now, you'll find two events, both billing themselves as the "6th Annual Henderson Pride Festival." This is confusing — so here's the straightforward version.

The long-running community Pride — the one the City of Henderson, local press, and the mayor's office have officially recognized — is Southern Nevada Pride Fest of Henderson, run by the nonprofit Henderson Equality Center since 2020. In June 2025, Las Vegas Mayor Shelley Berkley officially designated the day of their festival "Southern Nevada Pride Fest Day." Their 2026 event is Saturday, June 13 at Sunset Park.

A second organization — the International Cultural Movement for Equality — now also hosts an event branded as "Henderson Pride Festival," held Saturday, May 2, 2026 at Water Street Plaza in downtown Henderson proper, with Hilton Lake Las Vegas Resort & Spa as a partner hotel.

Both are free, both welcome the community, and both have surrounding week-of programming. For most travelers coming from out of town, the Henderson Equality Center's Southern Nevada Pride Fest in June is the more established, community-rooted event — but if you're in town for the May date, the Water Street Plaza event is a legitimate daytime option in its own right. Everything below covers both.

Southern Nevada Pride Fest of Henderson (June 13, 2026)

When: Saturday, June 13, 2026 | 3 PM–10 PM Where: Sunset Park, Eastern Entrance — 2601 E Sunset Rd, Las Vegas, NV Admission: Free (VIP packages available) Organizer: Henderson Equality Center Official site: hendersonequalitycenter.org/pride-fest-2026

Southern Nevada Pride Fest has run every year since 2020, which makes 2026 its sixth annual edition. It draws roughly 2,000 to 3,000 attendees and pulls people in from across the Las Vegas Valley — plus a handful of travelers who specifically schedule Vegas trips around it. The festival explicitly frames itself as an all-ages, resilience-forward Pride — less circuit-party, more community.

What to expect on the ground:

  • Main stage entertainment — live music, local drag performers, headliner guests. Past years have featured drag artists from RuPaul's Drag Race (Adore Delano headlined in 2025)
  • Vendor marketplace — LGBTQ+ small businesses, artists, food trucks, apparel, pride merchandise
  • Community resource booths — HIV testing, health screenings, nonprofits, social services, political advocacy groups
  • Kids & family zone — dedicated area with activities for younger attendees
  • Food trucks and beverages — full food lineup on-site
  • Extended runtime — 3 PM to 10 PM means the festival bridges daytime family hours and evening adult crowd, with the vibe shifting gradually through the afternoon

Because the festival runs into the evening and Sunset Park has ample open space, you can pace yourself — arrive in the afternoon with kids, come back in the evening for the main stage, or just stay put and watch the crowd change.

Pro Tip

Sunset Park's "Eastern Entrance" is the correct lot for the festival — your rideshare driver may default to the main/central entrance, which is on the other side of the park. Double-check the drop-off pin when you request your ride.

Supporting Pride Week Events (Henderson Equality Center)

In addition to the Saturday festival, the Henderson Equality Center programs a full week of smaller events around it. These are almost entirely free and are worth building into your itinerary if you're in town for the week:

  • Pride Youth Prom — Friday, June 5 at the Henderson Equality Center. Free, beverages and appetizers, dancing, photo wall. Aimed at LGBTQ+ youth and their friends
  • Pride Family Bingo — Tuesday, June 9. Doors 5:30 PM, bingo starts 6:30 PM. Cocktails, food, raffle, entertainment
  • Family Water Park Day — Sunday, June 14 (the day after the festival) at Cowabunga Bay water park. Free, limited to 100 people — includes park access, meal, and parking
  • Family Bowling — Sunday, June 21 at Strike Zone Bowling. Cosmic bowling 2–4 PM, free with limited signup

Registration for the limited-capacity events opens through the Henderson Equality Center's site and Eventbrite. Sign up as soon as the links go live — the water park day in particular fills fast.

Henderson Pride Festival at Water Street Plaza (May 2, 2026)

When: Saturday, May 2, 2026 | 11 AM–6 PM Where: Water Street Plaza, downtown Henderson Admission: Free Organizer: International Cultural Movement for Equality Official site: hendersonpride.org Partner hotel: Hilton Lake Las Vegas Resort & Spa

The second event on the 2026 Henderson Pride calendar is a daytime Saturday festival in the original Water Street District — downtown Henderson proper, about 20 minutes southeast of the Strip. Free admission, 11 AM to 6 PM, with live music, food trucks, a family fun zone, vendors, and entertainment across the day.

Surrounding programming for this event typically includes:

  • Miss Mr. Mx Pageant 2026 — pageant night
  • Disco Car Wash — themed fundraiser
  • Mr. Nude Sin City — adult competition
  • Henderson Pride Film Fest — LGBTQ+ film screenings
  • Pride Foam Party — dance/party event

Because this event is partnered with Hilton Lake Las Vegas Resort & Spa, it's easy to pair with a resort-side stay around Lake Las Vegas — quieter than the Strip, built for pool and water recreation, and a legitimate alternative if you want a weekend away from the casino corridor.

Pro Tip

If you're planning from out of town and only want one Pride, the **June 13 Southern Nevada Pride Fest at Sunset Park is the more established event** with the longer track record and larger crowd. If you happen to already be in Vegas the weekend of May 2, the Water Street Plaza event is a legitimate bonus — but don't specifically book travel around it unless the programming (pageant, film fest, foam party) is what you're there for.

How Henderson Pride Compares to Las Vegas Pride (October)

Most first-time visitors lump all Nevada Prides together. They're actually very different weekends:

Henderson PrideLas Vegas Pride
WhenMay 2 or June 13, 2026October 9–10, 2026 (Night Parade on Friday)
WhereHenderson / south-east valleyDowntown Fremont East + citywide
VibeDaytime, family-friendly, vendor-heavy, communityNighttime parade, Strip afterparties, circuit weekend
Attendance~2,000–3,000~30,000+
Pair withLake Las Vegas, Sunset Park, quiet resortFruit Loop, Piranha, Temptation Sundays, pool weekends

Neither is "better" — they serve different trips. Henderson is the Pride to bring a partner, parents, or kids to; Las Vegas Pride in October is the Pride to book a bachelor trip around. Many locals hit both, a few months apart.

For everything you need on the October event, see our Las Vegas Pride 2026 guide.

Where to Stay for Henderson Pride

Henderson is a suburb — there's no meaningful gay nightlife in Henderson itself, so unless you're pairing with Lake Las Vegas resort life, you'll likely stay on the Strip and Uber out for the festival.

Center Strip puts you walking distance to the Flamingo's residencies (Drag Race LIVE!), a short rideshare to the Fruit Loop gay bars, and 15-20 minutes from either Henderson Pride event site. Best all-around choice if you're traveling for the scene, not just the festival.

Pair with Sunset Park & South Strip (Best for June Event)

Sunset Park is close to the south end of the Strip and to Harry Reid International Airport. Staying at Mandalay Bay or the connected Luxor puts you about 10-15 minutes from the festival and in prime position for Temptation Sundays at the Luxor pool the next day — a smart pairing if the festival lands during pool season.

Resort-Side Stay (Best for May Event)

The May Water Street Plaza event is partnered with Hilton Lake Las Vegas Resort & Spa — a Mediterranean-style resort on Lake Las Vegas about 25 minutes from the Strip. This is the pick if you want a quieter weekend built around pool, spa, and lake activities rather than Strip action. Check rates at Hilton Lake Las Vegas.

For the full breakdown of gay-friendly hotels across Las Vegas, see our LGBTQ+-Friendly Hotels in Las Vegas guide.

Getting There from the Strip

To Sunset Park (June event):

  • Rideshare from center Strip: 15-20 minutes, typically $18-30 (add 25-40% during peak festival hours)
  • From Harry Reid International: ~10 minutes, $12-20
  • Driving: Free parking at Sunset Park, but the Eastern Entrance lot fills by mid-afternoon on festival day — arrive by 2 PM if you're driving, or plan to walk from an overflow lot

To Water Street Plaza (May event):

  • Rideshare from center Strip: 20-25 minutes, typically $22-35
  • Street and garage parking in downtown Henderson is available and free/low-cost — easier than Strip parking

Pro Tip

Both Henderson Pride events end in the late afternoon or evening, which means everyone surges Ubers back to the Strip at the same time. Book your return ride **15-20 minutes before you actually want to leave**, or walk a few blocks away from the festival footprint before requesting — that usually drops the surge significantly.

Make a Weekend of It

Henderson Pride is a one-day event, which leaves the rest of your weekend wide open. Here's how to stack it into a full Vegas weekend:

After the June festival (Saturday night): Sunset Park closes out at 10 PM. From there, head back to the Strip and hit the Fruit Loop — Piranha for full circuit nightclub energy, Phoenix or Flex for a more neighborhood vibe, Fun Hog Ranch for the bear/leather-leaning crowd. The Fruit Loop bars peak from about 11 PM to 2 AM on Saturdays.

Sunday after the June festival: June 13 is prime pool-party season. Temptation Sundays at the Luxor runs every Sunday from April through October — 2 PM to 8 PM, $20-40 entry, the longest-running gay pool party in Vegas. An ideal Sunday landing spot after Saturday's festival.

After the May event (Saturday night): Henderson Pride Festival wraps at 6 PM, which means you have an entire evening on the Strip. Dinner plus a drag show at Don't Tell Mama downtown, or catch RuPaul's Drag Race LIVE! at the Flamingo, then close out at Piranha.

Insider Tips

Pro Tip

**Book the week, not just the weekend.** The Henderson Equality Center programs free family-friendly events all through Pride week in June (youth prom, bingo night, water park day, bowling). If you're flying in, arriving Wednesday or Thursday lets you hit a couple of the smaller events before Saturday's festival.

Pro Tip

**Vegas summer heat is real.** Mid-June highs in Las Vegas average 100°F+ / 38°C+. Sunset Park has limited shade. Bring sunscreen, water, and a hat, and plan for the hottest part of your day to be under a vendor tent or in the kids' zone, not in direct sun at the main stage.

Pro Tip

**The Center LV is the year-round anchor.** If you're spending time in Las Vegas year-round rather than just Pride weekend, [The Center](https://thecenterlv.org) (401 S Maryland Pkwy) is the LGBTQ+ community center with programs, support groups, and Bears Las Vegas's monthly meetings. Worth knowing it exists before you visit.

Frequently Asked Questions

When is Henderson Pride 2026?

There are two events on the 2026 calendar. The long-running Southern Nevada Pride Fest of Henderson (Henderson Equality Center) runs Saturday, June 13, 2026, 3-10 PM at Sunset Park. A separate Henderson Pride Festival (International Cultural Movement for Equality) runs Saturday, May 2, 2026, 11 AM-6 PM at Water Street Plaza. Both are free.

Is Henderson Pride the same as Las Vegas Pride?

No. Henderson Pride is a daytime community festival in May or June. Las Vegas Pride is a much bigger weekend the second weekend of October, built around a Night Parade through downtown Fremont East. See lasvegaspride.org for the October event.

How much does Henderson Pride cost?

Both 2026 Henderson Pride festivals are free to attend. VIP ticket packages are available for the June Southern Nevada Pride Fest, but general admission is free. Food, drinks, and vendor purchases are extra.

Is Henderson Pride family-friendly?

Yes. The June Southern Nevada Pride Fest explicitly includes a kids/family zone and programs a Family Water Park Day at Cowabunga Bay the day after the festival. It runs from 3 PM to 10 PM, so early/mid-afternoon is the most family-oriented window. The May Water Street Plaza event also has a family fun zone.

Where should I stay for Henderson Pride?

For either event, center Strip hotels (Flamingo, LINQ, Caesars, Cosmopolitan) put you 15-20 minutes from the festival and in prime position for gay nightlife after. For the May event specifically, Hilton Lake Las Vegas Resort & Spa is the partner hotel if you want a resort-side stay. Avoid booking in Henderson itself — there's no gay nightlife there.

How do I get to Sunset Park from the Strip?

Rideshare is the easiest option — 15-20 minutes, $18-30 depending on time of day. Free parking is available at the park itself (use the Eastern Entrance at 2601 E Sunset Rd), but lots fill by mid-afternoon. Henderson is also accessible by RTC bus, but with transfers, it's slower than rideshare.

Are these events welcoming to trans, non-binary, and lesbian attendees?

Yes. Southern Nevada Pride Fest explicitly programs across the full LGBTQ+ community — the Henderson Equality Center serves trans, NB, and lesbian community members year-round, not just at Pride. Expect inclusive signage, gender-neutral bathrooms, and programming that reflects the full community.

Which Henderson Pride event should I attend if I can only pick one?

If you're traveling from out of town and only picking one, book around the June 13 Southern Nevada Pride Fest at Sunset Park — it's the longer-running event, with official recognition from the City of Henderson and Mayor Berkley, a larger track record, and surrounding week-of programming. The May 2 Water Street Plaza event is a solid add-on if you happen to be in Vegas that weekend, but the June event is the community's anchor Pride.

What happens at Henderson Pride?

Daytime and early-evening festival programming: live music, drag performances, food trucks, a vendor marketplace of LGBTQ+ small businesses, community resource booths (HIV testing, health screenings, nonprofits, advocacy groups), a kids/family zone, and beverages. No parade — unlike Las Vegas Pride in October, which is built around a Night Parade.
