Miami Beach Pride 2026: Parade, Festival, Parties & Complete Guide

Miami Beach Pride 2026 marks the 18th anniversary of one of the most vibrant Pride celebrations in the country — and this year's edition promises to be the biggest yet. Under the theme "Pride is Infinite," the celebration runs April 2-12 with 11 days of events, a free two-day festival in Lummus Park, and a parade down one of the most scenic routes in any American Pride: Ocean Drive, with the Atlantic Ocean as a backdrop.

Whether you're planning a full Pride week or flying in for the weekend, this guide has everything you need: the complete calendar, parade logistics, party lineup, where to stay, and how to get around.

Miami Beach Pride 2026 Overview

Theme: Pride is Infinite

  • Festival Weekend: April 11-12 at Lummus Park (FREE)
  • Parade: Sunday, April 12 at noon on Ocean Drive (FREE)
  • Key Neighborhood: South Beach — everything happens between 5th and 15th Streets

  • Hotels: Book 4-6 weeks in advance. South Beach hotels sell out and prices spike for Pride weekend.

Miami Beach Pride 2026 Calendar

  • April 12 — Parade + Festival Day 2: Parade at noon on Ocean Drive (5th to 14th St). Festival continues at Lummus Park.

Pro Tip

The best way to experience Miami Beach Pride is to arrive by Wednesday April 8 for the midweek events and stay through Sunday. If you can only do one weekend, the April 10-12 stretch is the main event — Drag Me to Pride Friday, festival Saturday, parade Sunday.

Drag Me to Pride — April 10

The Friday night kickoff concert at Lummus Park is Miami Beach Pride's newest signature event. "Drag Me to Pride" brings together some of the biggest names from RuPaul's Drag Race for a full-scale concert experience under the palms.

Lineup: Trinity the Tuck, Jimbo the Drag Clown, Ginger Minj, Lana Ja'Rae, and Kenya Pleaser. Hosted by Miami drag icon Tiffany Fantasia.

Doors: 7 PM | Show: 8 PM

Tickets:

  • General Admission: $30
  • VIP: $95 — includes open bar, premium stage viewing, private air-conditioned restrooms, and light bites

This is the only ticketed main event of the weekend. If you're a Drag Race fan, VIP is worth it for the sightlines and the AC restrooms alone (it's April in Miami).

Pro Tip

General admission is $30 but seats aren't assigned — arrive at doors (7 PM) for the best spots near the stage. VIP gets you close automatically plus open bar, which pays for itself in two drinks.

Miami Beach Pride Festival — April 11-12

The two-day festival at Lummus Park is the heart of Miami Beach Pride — and it's completely free. The park stretches along Ocean Drive between 5th and 14th Streets, putting the beach, the Art Deco hotels, and the festival grounds all within steps of each other.

What to Expect

Two performance stages run simultaneously throughout both days:

  • Main Stage: National and international headliners. Princess Nokia headlines Saturday night — a genre-defying artist blending hip-hop, punk, house, and Latin influences.
  • Community Stage: Local DJs, performers, drag artists, and emerging talent.

Vendor village: Hundreds of exhibitors including LGBTQ+ organizations, nonprofits, local businesses, and a diverse food village with options for every appetite.

Immersive activations: Sponsor-hosted experiences and interactive installations throughout the park.

Festival Pavilions

One of the things that sets Miami Beach Pride apart is its commitment to inclusive spaces. The 2026 festival features four dedicated pavilions:

  • Garden of Eve Women's Pavilion — All-female DJ lineup and curated programming for women and femme-identifying attendees.
  • Gilead Trans Pride Pavilion — Trans-centered exhibitors, performers, and DJs. A dedicated space that centers trans visibility and community.
  • Senior Lounge — A dedicated gathering space for LGBTQ+ elders.
  • Calming Pavilion — A low-sensory decompression zone with fidgets, coloring books, noise-cancelling headsets, and complimentary water. Designed for neurodiverse attendees, people with autism or anxiety, and anyone who needs a quiet moment. This space launched in 2022 and has become one of Pride's most praised innovations.

Pro Tip

The festival is 98% ADA accessible, with industrial matting laid from all major entrances to restrooms, food areas, stages, and specialty tents. Mobility-related accommodations are available — check miamibeachpride.com for details.

Festival Hours & Cost

  • Saturday, April 11: Noon - late evening
  • Sunday, April 12: Opens at 9 AM (festival grounds), parade at noon, festival continues through evening
  • Cost: Completely FREE

Miami Beach Pride Parade — April 12, 2026

The parade is the crown jewel of Pride weekend — a colorful procession down one of the most photogenic routes in any American Pride celebration.

Parade Route

The parade runs south to north along Ocean Drive, from 5th Street to 14th Street. The route passes directly through the Lummus Park festival grounds, with the Art Deco hotels on one side and the beach on the other. Ocean Drive is closed to vehicle traffic for the entire festival and parade.

Steps off: Noon on Sunday, April 12

Duration: The parade runs for several hours with floats, marching groups, performers, drag queens, cheer squads, nonprofits, and corporate sponsors all making their way up the route.

Best Viewing Spots

  1. Ocean Drive sidewalk (anywhere from 5th to 14th) — The closest vantage point. Grab a spot along the east or west side of the drive for front-row views. Arrive by 10 AM for the best positions.
  2. Lummus Park grass — Set up a blanket or chair in the park just west of Ocean Drive. Slightly elevated view and more room to spread out.
  3. Sidewalk restaurants on Ocean Drive — Secure a patio table at one of the Ocean Drive restaurants and watch the parade while eating and drinking. Book ahead — every restaurant along the route fills up.
  4. Palace Bar patioPalace at 1052 Ocean Drive sits right on the parade route and hosts drag performances throughout the day. This is ground zero for Pride energy.

Crowd Timeline

  • 9:00 AM: Festival grounds open. Early risers set up spots along Ocean Drive. Coffee and brunch crowd at restaurants.
  • 10:00 AM: Sidewalks start filling. Good viewing spots still available but going fast.
  • 11:00 AM: Streets are packed. Last chance for a prime spot.
  • Noon: Parade steps off from 5th Street.
  • 12:30 - 3:00 PM: Peak parade energy as floats and groups make their way up the route.
  • 3:00 PM onward: Festival continues in Lummus Park with live performances on both stages.
  • Evening: Afterparties and bar events kick off across South Beach.

Parade Day Tips

  • Arrive by 10 AM for a good spot along Ocean Drive. The route is only 9 blocks long, so it gets dense fast.
  • Wear sunscreen and a hat. April in Miami means 80-85°F and high humidity. The sun is intense and there's limited shade along Ocean Drive.
  • Bring water. Hydration is critical — you'll be standing in the sun for hours. The Calming Pavilion in the festival also has free water.
  • Dress light and festive. Think swimwear, rainbow everything, and comfortable shoes. You'll see everything from elaborate costumes to board shorts.
  • Charge your phone. Bring a portable battery — you'll be taking photos and videos all day.
  • Don't bring a cooler with glass. Hard-sided coolers and glass containers are not permitted in the festival area.

Pro Tip

If you want to watch the parade AND hit the festival, set up on the Lummus Park side of Ocean Drive between 10th and 12th Streets. You'll be in the middle of the parade route with the festival stages and pavilions right behind you.

Best Pride Parties and Events

URGE Miami (Official Circuit Parties)

URGE is the official Pride weekend party series, hosted at M2 Club on Washington Avenue — a multi-room venue just blocks from the festival.

Friday, April 10 — URGE presents GUAPO

  • 10:30 PM - 5:00 AM at M2 Club
  • DJs: ADHAM, Yazz Burrell, Yordi Batista
  • The warm-up to the main event. Latin-influenced beats.

Saturday, April 11 — URGE Miami Beach Pride

  • 10:30 PM - 5:00 AM at M2 Club
  • DJs: Nicole Moudaber (international headliner), Junyo (Miami debut)
  • Multi-room experience with different music in each room
  • VIP includes mezzanine viewing, snacks, and private bathrooms
  • A portion of proceeds benefits Miami Beach Pride

2-Day Pass available for both nights. VIP available.

Pro Tip

The URGE parties are the biggest circuit events of Pride weekend. If you're into the dance/circuit scene, get the 2-day pass — it's better value and you'll want to go both nights. Things don't peak until 1-2 AM.

Palace Bar — Pride Week Events

Palace is the epicenter of Pride on Ocean Drive. Throughout the week:

  • Mr. & Miss Miami Beach Pride Pageant — Wednesday, April 8 at 7 PM. Local drag talent competes for the crown.
  • Drag brunch throughout Pride week — Friday through Monday, two seatings (11 AM and 2 PM Friday-Sunday, noon Monday). $60 per person including bottomless mimosas.
  • Nightly drag shows — Every night from 7 PM to midnight, with choreographed numbers that spill onto the Ocean Drive sidewalk. During Pride weekend, the energy is turned up to 11.

Twist — The Pride Marathon

Twist on Washington Avenue is where the party goes after everything else closes. With 7 bars, 3 dance floors, and no cover charge, Twist runs nonstop during Pride week. Expect packed rooms, top-tier DJs, and a crowd that doesn't quit until sunrise.

Bar Gaythering — Community Vibe

Bar Gaythering at Hôtel Gaythering keeps its regular weekly programming during Pride with a Pride twist — karaoke Monday, trivia Wednesday, bingo Thursday, and the signature Sunday T-Dance (4-8 PM). It's the perfect low-key counterpoint to the big festival energy.

More Pride Nightlife

  • "Lets Get Loud" by LPN — Saturday after-hours party starting at 4 AM for the late-night crowd
  • Climax Miami — Sunday closing party to end Pride weekend on a high
  • R House Wynwood — Drag brunch Saturday and Sunday (seatings at 11:30 AM and 2:30 PM, $60). If you want to escape the South Beach crowds for a few hours, the Wynwood scene is a change of pace.

Where to Stay for Miami Beach Pride

Best Neighborhoods to Stay

  • South Beach (5th-15th St) — Walk to everything. The parade and festival are literally on your doorstep. Loudest, most expensive, and most fun. Book early — rates spike for Pride weekend.
  • Mid-Beach (20th-50th St) — Quieter, better hotel pools, 10-minute rideshare to the action. Best balance of value and access.
  • Brickell / Downtown — Urban, upscale, cheaper than South Beach. 20-minute rideshare or transit to the beach.

Hotels on Our Radar

[Hôtel Gaythering](https://outxout.com/venue/htelgaytheringmiami) — The only explicitly gay hotel in Miami Beach. On Lincoln Road, with its own bar, sauna, and nightly events. Small and social — the perfect Pride home base if you want to be surrounded by community.

[Moxy Miami South Beach](https://outxout.com/venue/moxymiamisouthbeachmiami) — On Washington Avenue, a 5-minute walk from Lummus Park. The Moxy hosted the official Queer Art Showcase on April 6. Social lobby, rooftop pool.

[Clevelander Hotel – Adults Only](https://outxout.com/venue/clevelanderhoteladultsonlymiami) — Right on Ocean Drive at 10th Street, overlooking the parade route and festival. The pool scene is a party in itself. Adults-only.

[Dream South Beach, by Hyatt](https://outxout.com/venue/dreamsouthbeachbyhyattmiami) — Design-forward hotel on Collins Avenue with a rooftop pool. One block from the beach and festival.

[citizenM Miami South Beach](https://outxout.com/venue/citizenmmiamisouthbeachmiami) — Modern hotel on Lincoln Road with self-check-in and a rooftop bar. Great value for the location.

[Hotel Chelsea](https://outxout.com/venue/hotelchelseamiami) — Boutique option on Washington Avenue with a strong LGBTQ+ following and rooftop pool.

Vacation Rentals

South Beach has a strong vacation rental market on Airbnb and Vrbo. Look for places between 5th and 15th Streets for walking distance to the festival. A studio or one-bedroom in South Beach runs $200-400/night during Pride week — book early for the best selection.

Pro Tip

South Beach hotel prices for Pride weekend (April 10-12) run $300-600+/night. Mid-Beach is significantly cheaper — a $200/night Mid-Beach hotel plus a $15 rideshare is often better value than a $450/night South Beach room. The free Miami Beach Trolley also connects Mid-Beach to South Beach.

Getting There and Getting Around

From the Airport

Miami International Airport (MIA) is about 20 minutes from South Beach by rideshare ($20-30). The Miami Beach Airport Express (Bus 150) runs from MIA to South Beach for $2.25, departing every 30 minutes.

Getting Around South Beach

During Pride weekend, Ocean Drive is closed to traffic from roughly 5th to 15th Streets. Plan accordingly:

  • Walk. Everything happens within a compact area. You can walk from 5th Street to Lincoln Road in 15 minutes.
  • Free Miami Beach Trolley. Multiple loops run every 20 minutes from 8 AM to 11 PM. The South Beach Loop covers the festival area.
  • Rideshare. Uber/Lyft are the go-to for getting between neighborhoods. Have your driver drop off on Collins Avenue or Washington Avenue (one block from Ocean Drive). Surge pricing is real during peak parade hours.
  • Bike. Miami Beach is flat and has dedicated bike lanes. Citi Bike stations are located throughout South Beach.

Parking

If you must drive, use one of the public garages near the festival:

  • 7th Street Garage (between Collins and Washington) — Closest to the south end of the parade
  • 12th and 13th Street Garages — Near the north end of the route
  • 5th & Alton Road Garage — At the MacArthur Causeway, about a 15-minute walk east to Lummus Park

Do not attempt to park on or near Ocean Drive — it's closed, and surrounding streets are heavily congested.

Pro Tip

Skip the car entirely if you're staying in South Beach. Between the road closures, traffic, and $30+ garage fees, rideshare and walking are far easier. If you're coming from the mainland, park at the 5th & Alton garage and walk in.

Miami Beach Pride History

Miami Beach Pride has grown from a modest neighborhood celebration to one of the most anticipated Pride events in the country in just 18 years.

The event was founded in 2008 by former Miami Beach Mayor Matti Bower as an initiative of the Miami Beach Gay Business Development Council. The first parade, held in 2009, drew an estimated 15,000-18,000 spectators along Ocean Drive.

Growth was rapid:

  • 2009: 15,000-18,000 attendees at the first parade
  • 2013: 80,000
  • 2014: 100,000+ — the festival begins attracting major national and international attention
  • 2015: 130,000 — same-sex marriage legalized in Florida in January, adding momentum
  • 2019: 145,000
  • Recent years: Up to 170,000 attendees

What started as a single-day parade has expanded into an 11-day celebration with a dedicated festival, dedicated pavilions for women, trans, and neurodiverse communities, international headliners, and a commitment to accessibility that sets a standard for Pride events nationwide.

The choice of Ocean Drive as the parade route gives Miami Beach Pride something no other major Pride can match: a parade with the ocean on one side and Art Deco architecture on the other, all under the Florida sun.

Beyond Miami Beach Pride — More Pride Events

Miami Beach Pride isn't the only Pride celebration in the metro area:

  • Wynwood Pride (June 2026) — A month-long series of events across four weekends in June, including concerts, pool parties, drag shows, and outdoor markets in Miami's arts district. Now in its fifth year.
  • Stonewall Pride Wilton Manors (June 20, 2026) — One of the largest Pride events in Florida, held on Wilton Drive in Wilton Manors (about 30 miles north, in the Fort Lauderdale area). Street festival at 3 PM, twilight parade at 7 PM.
  • Gay8 Festival (March 15, 2026) — The largest Hispanic LGBTQ+ festival in the U.S., held on Calle Ocho in Little Havana. 80,000+ attendees. Free admission.
