The Pink Triangle on Twin Peaks 2026, San Francisco's 31st annual installation, goes up Saturday June 6, 2026 with an LGBTQ+ Commemoration Ceremony at 10:30 AM on the north-facing hillside of Twin Peaks. Here's the thing locals know that the calendar buries, this happens in early June, not on Pride weekend, but once the one-acre symbol is up it stays. Roughly 800 volunteers stitch together about 175 bright pink tarps into a triangle so massive you can see it from almost anywhere in the city, and it remains on display all the way through Pride Sunday, June 28, 2026. The triangle reclaims the badge the Nazis forced on LGBTQ+ people in concentration camps, turning a mark of persecution into a citywide act of memory and defiance. The morning ceremony at 501 Twin Peaks Blvd, in the hills above the Castro, brings out city officials and SF Pride Grand Marshals as speakers. It's free and all ages, run by Friends of the Pink Triangle, the volunteer crew who have kept this going for three decades. For transit, the Muni 37 Corbett bus climbs toward Twin Peaks, or you can drive or rideshare straight to Christmas Tree Point at the summit. Tap your Clipper card and dress in layers, late-June fog (San Franciscans call it Karl) can roll over the peaks and drop the temperature fast even when downtown is sunny. One genuine local tip, you don't actually have to summit Twin Peaks to take it in. The best vantage is from down in the Castro or sprawled out at Dolores Park, looking up at that pink triangle glowing on the green hillside.
