Aunt Ginny's is a no-frills neighborhood dive on Woodward Avenue in Ridgewood, Queens, right up against the Brooklyn border. It's dog-friendly and unpretentious, with a pool table, an X-Men vs. Street Fighter arcade cabinet, a photo booth, and shot-and-beer specials, plus the 'I Like Food' pop-up working out of a back window slinging nachos, fried chicken sandwiches, everything-bagel wings, churro fries, and a pernil crispwrap, most of it available vegan or vegetarian. The crowd is the young, creative Ridgewood mix, and while the bar doesn't brand itself as a gay venue, it's inclusive and progressive enough to land on queer bar guides and to host events like a Ridgewood Queers happy hour. Think of it less as a destination scene bar than as the easygoing local you'd want in your own neighborhood, which is exactly why it draws the queer Ridgewood crowd.
