Baltimore, Maryland
Baltimore's leather and bear bar with drag and themed nights
The Baltimore Eagle is the city's leather bar, a two-story landmark on North Charles Street in the Charles North district and a fixture of the regional leather and bear scene. The ground floor is the classic Eagle: a long bar, pool, and an unpretentious crowd in denim and leather. Upstairs, The Nest opens into a dance floor for theme nights and parties, and there's a leather goods store attached to the operation. Reopened under its original operator after a long renovation, the Eagle runs a calendar built around the kink and leather community — gear nights, drag, fundraisers, and club socials — while staying open to anyone who walks in respectfully. It's a men's leather bar at heart but not a members-only one. For travelers, it's the anchor of Baltimore's leather world and worth the trip up Charles Street from the Mount Vernon bars.
