Queer sports bar in Mile End with Dyke Night, PWHL viewings, and a 'SPORTS LESBIANS' sign.
Bar Champs is a queer sports bar located on Saint-Laurent Boulevard in Montreal's Mile End neighborhood, reopened under new LGBTQ+ ownership in 2021. Anchored by a neon 'SPORTS LESBIANS' interior sign, the venue features pool tables, a curated wine list, and a dive-bar layout built for daytime socializing and nighttime events. Weekly and monthly programming includes PWHL game viewings, Monday Dyke Night, Drag Race viewing parties, Kiki balls, and Queerioke nights. Co-owned by sports writer Sarah Fobes, the bar opens at 3pm on weekdays and skews toward a lesbian and queer women demographic while remaining open to all patrons.
