Part of the Gay Memphis Guide — bars, events & things to do.

Memphis, Tennessee
Cooper-Young street-food bar with a Monday drag show.
Karen Carrier’s Cooper-Young bar runs a global street-food menu that rotates roughly every five weeks — it opened on Mexico City-style tacos and has kept moving since. Live music happens most nights across a wide spread of genres. Mondays are the drag show, hosted by Mary Gagz at around 9:30pm, with a $5 cover that is waived if you work in service. The room is eclectic in the literal sense, with a vintage photo booth and an interior assembled from international odds and ends.
