Memphis, Tennessee
Black LGBTQ+ dance club, successor to Club 616.
Rainbow City Live opened on New Year’s Eve 2025 as the successor to Club 616, the club that anchored Black LGBTQ+ nightlife in Memphis. Promoter Anthony Curry Jr. announced the move that November and built the new room out with VIP booths, poles and a kitchen. Programming runs event by event rather than on a nightly schedule, and most of it is announced through Facebook rather than a website — worth checking before you make the trip out to the Lamar Avenue corridor.
