Midtown gay bar with karaoke most nights and weekend drag.
Dru’s is one of only two full-time gay bars left in Memphis, on the Madison Avenue strip in Midtown. It calls itself a neighborhood karaoke bar and that is honest: karaoke runs four or more nights a week, with trivia, comedy and drag filling in the rest. Drag lands on Thursdays and Saturdays, and there is a vendor market on Sunday afternoons. The kitchen does burgers and pizza, the room is non-smoking, and there is a patio out back. It was named in the Memphis Flyer’s Best of Memphis 2024 and appears in the city’s official LGBTQ+ visitor guide. One practical note regulars will give you: there is a cover most nights.
