Après-ski gay bar on Reguliersdwarsstraat, late-night until 4–5am
Exit Café is an après-ski-themed gay bar on Reguliersdwarsstraat, running since 1992 in the building that first housed the gay disco Exit in 1988. The ski-lodge decor is mostly a wink — the music runs to house and international pop, and the layout is built for a dense, standing-room crowd, with a sidewalk terrace that stays open year-round. It's the companion bar to the adjacent Club NYX, which grew out of the old Club Exit, and its real claim on the street is endurance: Exit is reliably one of the last places on Reguliers still going well after its neighbors have called it a night, which makes it the default late stop when the rest of the strip winds down. Better for an end-of-night crowd and people-watching from the terrace than for a quiet drink.
