Drag supplies, wigs, and costumes since the '80s on Halsted
Beatnix is a theatrical costume and drag queen supply retail store located on Halsted Street in Chicago's Northalsted (Boystown) neighborhood. Operating since the 1980s, the inventory encompasses a wide selection of synthetic and human hair wigs, Ben Nye stage makeup, professional eyelashes, spirit gum adhesive, feather boas, Pride flags, and performance footwear available in extended sizes. Store hours run from noon to midnight Monday through Friday, and from 10am to midnight on Saturdays and Sundays, allowing local performers to secure supplies directly before evening showtimes.
