Provincetown, Massachusetts
Beachfront resort and home of P-town's afternoon Tea Dance.
The Boatslip is a beachfront resort on Provincetown's West End, best known for its afternoon Tea Dance, a P-town institution that's drawn crowds to the harbor-view deck for roughly half a century. As the sun drops over Cape Cod Bay, a DJ works the open-air deck and much of the town seems to funnel down to the water; it's one of those Provincetown rituals that defines a summer day here. The season runs roughly mid-April into November. Originally opened as a motor inn in 1967, the property pairs the deck with a private beach, a heated pool and sundeck, and adults-only guest rooms a short walk from the heart of Commercial Street. The interiors got a refresh ahead of the 2026 season. Tea Dance is worth planning a late afternoon around; it's as close to a must-do as Provincetown nightlife gets.
