Feminist community café in Wedding hosting queer events and readings.
Café Cralle is a feminist collective café and bar in Wedding, near Leopoldplatz, run since 1977 as a self-organized, non-hierarchical collective rather than a conventional business. That history is the point: it's one of the city's longest-standing queer-feminist spaces, deliberately low-key and low-priced, and explicitly built as an alternative to the usual bar economy. Expect a cozy neighborhood-pub feel with a packed cultural calendar — concerts, readings, and political discussions alongside regular community nights like a monthly queer bar and a FLINTA* Stammtisch (regulars' table). It's a safe, welcoming space for FLINTA* people and allies, and it draws people who come as much for the conversation and organizing as for the drinks. Out in Wedding, it's worth the trip if you want the activist, community side of queer Berlin rather than the nightlife strip.
