Part of the Gay Berlin Guide — bars, events & things to do.

Berlin, Germany
30-year Schöneberg gay club with basement cruising and weekend techno
Connection is a long-running gay institution in Berlin's Schöneberg, on Fuggerstraße since 1989 in the former premises of the legendary Chez Romy Haag. For decades its two-level club was a no-frills, sex-positive fixture — a main dance floor and bars upstairs, the Twilight Zone cruising maze in the basement, weekend techno and house with leather and fetish parties in the rotation. As of 2026 the club itself is on an extended Kreativpause (creative break) and is not running regular club nights, so check its own channels before planning a night around it. The adjoining Connection Shop and its cruising cinema (Kino) remain open daily, so the address still anchors a corner of Schöneberg's historic gay quarter even while the dance floor sits quiet.
