Members-only, clothing-optional men's campground in west Alabama with two salt-water pools
Camp Woodpecker is a private, members-only retreat exclusively for men in Greene County, west Alabama, southwest of Tuscaloosa. It calls itself a friendly members-only gay camping experience and a clothing-optional campground for adults 18 and older. Stays run from lodge B&B rooms and poolside rooms to private cabins and RV and tent sites. Two salt-water pools, two hot tubs and a sauna anchor the grounds, with a dining and activity pavilion, an outdoor kitchen, a coffee bar and an indoor social room. Day-pass hours are posted (Friday and Saturday 10 AM to 10 PM, Sunday to Thursday 10 AM to 8 PM) but prices and the membership fee are not, so call ahead. The 2026 calendar included a Labor Day weekend, a Hispanic Heritage festival, a leather weekend with ONYX Atlanta, a furry and pup weekend and an 80s Halloween party.
