Chaps is a gay dive bar on Pike Avenue on the North Little Rock side of the river, a low-key neighborhood spot rather than a club. The draw is the easy, unpretentious feel: pool, bar games like chess and Jenga, a patio the regulars are fond of, and a rotating week of karaoke, trivia, and themed nights. Open seven days, it's the kind of place you go to settle in with a cheap drink and familiar faces, not to make a scene. For locals north of the river it's the closest thing to a hometown gay bar, and for visitors it's a relaxed alternative to the late-night clubs across the water in Little Rock proper.
