Cheat Code Lounge is Cedar Springs' gay arcade bar, pairing free-play retro games and digital tabletop screens with a real cocktail menu. Tucked into Suite B of the S4 building, it plays as a gaming speakeasy: classic arcade cabinets and multiplayer tables alongside craft drinks, in a room built for actually hanging out rather than queuing for a dance floor. The Dallas Observer named it the city's best gamer spot in 2024. It fills a niche the rest of the strip doesn't — a low-key, geek-friendly hangout where the entertainment is the games, not a stage show. Good for a date with something to do, a pre-club warmup before heading next door to S4, or anyone who'd rather settle a round of co-op than shout over a DJ.
