East Village cabaret bar co-owned by Alan Cumming: seven nights of queer variety since 2017
Cabaret and performance bar on East 6th Street in the East Village, co-owned since 2017 by actor Alan Cumming and nightlife promoter Daniel Nardicio, with Darren Dryden running it day to day. The idea grew out of the impromptu parties Cumming hosted in his dressing room during his Broadway run in Cabaret, and the room keeps that loose, anything-can-happen salon feeling. The calendar runs essentially every night and rarely repeats itself: cabaret and drag, drag king nights, comedy, queerlesque, drink-and-draw, tea dances, and DJ sets, drawing a crowd that comes for the show as much as the drinks. It's small, it gets packed, and the talent is genuinely good — closer to a downtown performance space than a standard gay bar. The club's profile climbed further with a six-part WOW Presents Plus docuseries, "Club Cumming," that premiered in March 2026.
