River Edge, New Jersey
North Jersey's LGBTQ+ nightclub on Kinderkamack Road since 1978
Club Feathers is an LGBTQ+ nightclub on Kinderkamack Road in River Edge, New Jersey, in Bergen County, open since June 1978. Its own site calls it "New Jersey's Legendary LGBTQ+ Nightclub Since 1978," and it's widely described as the longest-running gay nightclub in the state; it got through a pandemic shutdown in 2020 with a community fundraiser and reopened in 2021. It's a local's club more than a destination, known for live entertainment and a familiar crowd, and it's open late Tuesday through Sunday. For New York visitors it's an easy trip out of the city, and it's the North Jersey option when Manhattan isn't the plan.
