Phoenix, Arizona
LGBTQ+-welcoming wellness studio for training, yoga, and massage.
ConXion is a holistic fitness and wellness studio on North 16th Street that intentionally welcomes Phoenix's LGBTQ+ community, combining personal training, massage therapy, yoga, and mind-body practices under one roof. It was founded by David Soto-Griego, a licensed massage therapist, personal trainer, and yoga instructor with more than 30 years in the field, and the approach reflects that range: building strength and mobility alongside relieving pain and stress, with attention to the emotional and spiritual side as much as the physical. It's less a conventional gym than a small, personal practice, a place for one-on-one work rather than a crowded weight floor. Soto-Griego is also active in Phoenix's recovery and queer arts communities, which is part of what makes ConXion read as a community space and not just a service. For LGBTQ+ locals who want a fitness setting where they're explicitly seen, it's a rare option in the city.
