Original Craig's Cookies in Parkdale — 100+ rotating flavors
Craig's Cookies started in 2013 when queer Newfoundland actor Craig Pike began selling his mother's chocolate chip cookies — stuffed with on-sale Pop-Tarts — from his Parkdale apartment, delivering by bike between theatre gigs. This shop on Queen Street West was the first brick-and-mortar, opened in 2018 with $6,000 in savings and community crowdfunding. The rainbow-painted facade pays homage to the Jellybean Row houses of Pike's hometown St. John's. Inside, 100+ cookie flavors rotate — Twix-stuffed, Sour Cherry Blasters, Nutella, seasonal specials — alongside a year-round Pride cookie whose proceeds benefit Friends of Ruby, a Toronto organization supporting LGBTQ+ youth.
