Part of the Gay Washington D.C. Guide — bars, events & things to do.
Washington D.C., Washington D.C.
D.C.'s gay bathhouse on 14th Street, open 24/7.
DC's only gay bathhouse, open since 1995 on the second floor of a building on 14th Street NW in Logan Circle. The 24/7 club runs 65 private rooms, a steam room and Finnish sauna, a maze, gang showers, a gym with Technogym equipment, free tanning, and a hydro-massage bed. A couple of things set its policy apart: membership and locker access are free for men 18 to 24, every day, and the house takes a zero-tolerance line on racism and hostility. Dress runs the full range from towels to harnesses to nothing at all. Being the District's lone bathhouse, it draws a broad cross-section of the city's gay men, and the around-the-clock hours make it as much a late-night option as an evening one.
